Cardiologist News!

We had our appointment in Little Rock at Arkansas Children's Hospital with Mariah's cardiologist. As most of you know, she was born with a hole in between the bottom 2 chambers (ventricles). It's called a ventricular septal defect. They intially thought that she would be in need of a patch since the hole was moderate size but our cardiologist told us that her hole should heal by the time she is 2. And, if it doesn't, then it should not give her any problems. So, we are very thankful. Also, we learned that with any dental work she should not need antibiotics because of her hole. They are finding out that with all these antibiotics they give out so freely, it is causing so many people to actually catch 'super bugs' and to be immune to the old fashion antibiotics.

Fantastic. So glad it looks like it will fix itself over time!
