Pool Time with Friends!

Kyle

Kaleb and Mattieu
All of these boys are close in age too and we mothers enjoyed getting together at a clubhouse to let them swim while we chattered. Another great goggle picture of Kaleb!

Let's Have a Surprise 40th!

All the kids waiting patiently for Abe and Nathan to arrive!

They have arrived! Nathan and Abe's birthday are one day apart! To surprise Abe we told him we were having a surprise party for Nathan. Of course, Nathan knew the true story since the party was at our house. Abe fretted the whole time about how to keep the 'secret' from Nathan. We had Abe and Nathan stop and get some cupcakes since we had about 75 people here and lots of kids. When we told Abe he needed to pick up about 40 cupcakes he said in a stressed out voice, "How am I going to keep this a secret from Nathan buying so many cupcakes?" So, we allowed him to buy just a few! The funny part was watching him point at Nathan as we sang "Happy Birthday" when they walked in....until he realized it was for him when we said his name!!! =)

Three Birthday Girls!

We have lots of birthdays around here during the summer months...these 3 girls, Baylee, Sadie, and Madeline are all very close in age. Cute girls but because 2 are Kaleb's cousins, it drops his options down dramatically!!!

Lots of kids here....mainly cousins, if you can believe that!

Kaleb has worn his goggles all summer! He even wears them in the car while we are driving down the road! I love the impressions it makes on his face...he gets more looks when we go shopping! I'll have to save this picture for all his friends to see one day!!

Water Play

UPDATE: Yes, I have failed miserably in keeping up with my blog! Thanks Amy for the gentle reminder that I'm WAY behind...yes, it has been 2 months! YIKES! Where does time go? I wasn't feeling so well the first part of my pregnancy and now that I've been feeling great I've been on the go!!! Kaleb started to a little preschool back in May 3 days a week. Recently, I've dropped him to just 2 days a week since he has adapted so well. He needed the socialization and it was a perfect time for me to work on business stuff. They are helping me potty train him since all the kids in his class are being potty trained. It is working out great. I can spend more one on one time with him when we are together because I get all my office work done while he is in school. I normally use one of those days as my day to work at the hospital in the ER. (Trying to keep up with my hours.)

I mention later on in the blog that Nathan is working on a nonprofit organization helping children with autism through the help of horses. He is really enjoying himself. So, we've been spending a lot of time with him out at the stables working with the horses. Of course, Kaleb doesn't object!

I am almost 26 weeks! Only 14 1/2 weeks to go...wow, it is fastly approaching! I've been doing a little consigning and finding the cutest little girl things! I'm not getting too much but it is neat what you can find for such a great price.

Aaron is still in Branson building houses and doing great. We are thankful Wayne and Angie are there...he really enjoys them. Justin started working for Northwest Airlines and is flying internationally now. Of course, flying is what he has always wanted to do. Audrin is doing great and I was so glad to get to see her recently. Dad came up for a quick 1 day visit 2 weeks ago...he had to pick up something in the area and dropped by. Kaleb was glad to see his Grand-poppy!

We have not made it out too much to the pool this summer. But, recently we've been going to an Aquatic Center they have here in town. Kaleb loves playing in all the water toys. We try and meet a few other mothers with kids there also. Talk about being tired after a few hours! Perfect outing for a great nap afterwards! This morning as we were getting ready for the pool he brought me my sandals and said, "Mom, here, right foot." He has been doing awesome on his left and right. He puts his shoes on correctly and can tell you which one is left and right! We may not be potty trained yet but he's got this down!!! Yeah!

We are still working on colors! Green is his favorite color so he always gets that one right! He's counting and doing better going to 20. He loves to sing songs and doing well with his ABC's.
