Elizabeth Convention

Mariah and her friends! She was always leading the pack! The girls loved her and she loved them! Always the center of attention. Nathan and I would watch from a distance....is this what is to come as a teenager too????

Kaleb's buddy Jessie
I went to convention thinking I wouldn't know many people and it ended up feeling like a TEXAS reunion....and I was in Colorado! So many friends I hadn't seen in forever...nice to meet their budding families. What a special treat.
Awesome that Gpa, Nana, Tia and Tara could come out for convention...we loved having them at our house too! Sure do miss our Arkansas family!

My dear Diane! Love this lady!

Sweet friends, Paula and Jennifer

Bertha, Betty and Ron....we had Ron for the night after convention on their way back to OK. Thankful for the treat.

More Family Time

Nana Joy, Gpa Harold, Erin (Tia) and Tara came out last night from Arkansas headed to Elizabeth Convention. They stayed with us a couple of nights and what fun we had! They got to see a day of Kaleb's soccer camp and then we shopped until we dropped. Headed to Trinidad to see some neat little shops downtown and enjoyed a day together. I love my family!

Soccer Camp

Kaleb had a week of soccer camp with the British Sports Team...they actually come over from Britian for 13 weeks and have week training camps in different areas. Of all places, Raton had a camp! Kaleb loved his week of soccer and gave him a taste of playing since he never had. He did awesome with enthusiasm for every day. Nana Joy and Tia got to share in one day of his camp...that made him happy too.

The Team

Mariah's little playing buddy at soccer. She loved to trade food and most everyday she would trade for his big bag of crackers! She loved snooping around seeing who had what food and then would station herself right where the food looked good.

Tia watching the practice.
The last day of camp, the kids got to bring their water guns and shoot the coach the last 10 mins of class. Something they all looked forward to.

A Weekend in Colorado

We got a special invite to my second cousins ranch near Cotopaxi, CO...about 3 1/2 hours from Raton, NM and 1 1/2 hours west of Pueblo, CO. Such a neat drive through the mountains and valleys...we saw a herd of buffalo, some elk (couldn't get close enough for a picture), mule deer, and praire dogs (would you believe the silly things were scrambling across the road and most of them we saw at the side of the road.) Picture perfect area.
Kaleb helping D get firewood

Kelly and Mariah chattin' it up
Fire Fun
Early Morning Fishing with Kaleb...the quiet waters, the crisp Colorado air...the smell of pine! What more could a farm girl want....I love that my boy asked me to go fishing with him. He loves it and is patient enough....just like his momma!

Finding fish and saying 'good-morning' to the fish with Auntie Cathy!

I Loved this old wheel....what a great piece

D, Kelly, Nathan and I went on a nice hike up the mountain to overlook their place down below...wow...what a neat view...wish I could of caught it on camera

A canoe ride with sweet cousin Kelly!

Some rifle time! Kaleb is quite a shot!
More fun on the 4-wheeler
While we were out on our hike, Cathy had the kids help her pick up pine cones for a dime a piece. Kaleb was proud of his stack...and of course the $$$ too!

It's Father's Day weekend and after a long day Mariah offered her daddy a foot rub! How sweet...stinky feet and all!
