Kaleb's Cowboy Adventure

Kaleb has been loving horses. We went to a Parelli horse show the first part of June. So interesting....they use love, language, and leadership with the horses. It's amazing how the horses respond. Basically the Parelli system is teaching PEOPLE what horses already know! (http://www.parelli.com/) Nathan's mom has been using this technique with her horses and getting some awesome results! They just opened their stables for other horse borders. Nathan has been working on this project for awhile and there is still lots of work to do. UPDATE: They are now working on a nonprofit organization to help children with autism through the help of horses. It's quite the project but yet very rewarding. Nathan wants to move out of construction to strictly working with these kids and the horses. We have all been spending time out at the stables to get the horses 'Parelli-ized'! Been lots of fun!

Kalebs' pony, Magic! He loves his horse and can tell you all about it...even that it is a paint! Kaleb is very good about remembering names. He goes through all of Nana's horses names and the horse training videos we watch, he later tells us about each horse by name. AUG UPDATE: We were sitting at the kitchen the other morning and he began telling me about Mike. I said, 'Kaleb, who is Mike? I don't know Mike. Does Daddy know Mike?" Kaleb said, "Mike's horse is Lecha." He was very insistent. I had no idea who Mike and Lecha where so I called Nathan. He told me it was one of the troubled horses on the training video that the Parelli team worked with and the owner was Mike! I, as an adult, probably wouldn't of remembered the names! Glad he can help me as I get older remember names.
